US FlagUS/Washington: Jimmy Hack Golf Swing Trainer Recall [US]Jimmy Hack Golf LLC, an Easley, South Carolina establishment, recalls an estimated 6,100 Jimmy Hack Golf branded Golf Swing Trainers due to suspected component detachment and consequential risk of injury and laceration damage, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Jimmy Hack Orange Whip Golf Swing Trainers, models OWT and OWM.

Each of the recalled Golf Swing Trainers have a black grip and flexible shaft with a weighted orange golf ball attached to it. A batch/lot number is printed on the inside of the counterweight steel ball (in white or gold color) attached to the grip end of the Orange Whip.

The recalled Golf Swing Trainers have a batch number in the range from 772 to 792. In order to read the batch number, the counterweight steel ball must be unscrewed by hand. Model OWT, the full size trainer, measures 47 inches in length. Model OWM, the mid-size trainer, measures 43 inches in length.

According to the CPSC, the orange ball attached to the can detach from the Trainer while in use, posing an injury hazard to the user and nearby bystanders. The firm has received 36 reports of the ball detaching from the Trainer. No injuries have been reported.
