The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Halal Meat Pie products are subject to this recall:

  • Vili’s Halal Lamb & Rosemary Meat Pie (Fresh), sold in 160 gram packages with a best-before date of 25 July 2018 with a batch/lot code of 01 183 18 and an APN/EAN: 9317841005707
  • Vili’s Halal Lamb & Rosemary Meat Pie (Frozen), sold in 160 gram packages with a best-before date of 10 July 2018 with a batch/lot code of 01 183 18 and an APN/EAN: 9317841005707

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to undeclared Milk, Sesame and Shrimp. If you have an allergy or intolerance to Milk, Sesame and/or Shrimp, you should neither serve nor consume any of the Vili’s Meat Pies identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Halal Meat Pies and could be allergic to their Milk, Sesame and/or Shrimp ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
