Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Fresh Fodder Peppered Taramosalata Spread Recall [Australia]Fresh Fodder Pty Ltd, an Orange, New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Fresh Fodder Peppered Taramosalata due to undeclared Seafood and Soy, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Taramosalata Spreads are subject to this recall:

  • Fresh Fodder Peppered Taramosalata Spreads, sold in 200 gram plastic tubs with white on blue top and side labels with a best-before date code of 03092018, a batch/lot code of 05060506 and an APN/EAN of 9345205000075

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to undeclared Seafood and Soy. If you have a Seafood or Soy allergy and/or intolerance you should neither serve nor consume any of the Taramosalata Spreads identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Taramosalata Spreads and could be allergic to their Seafood and/or Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
