Canada/Ottawa: Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Cracker Recall [Canada]Campbell Company of Canada, a Toronto, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Pepperidge Farm brand Goldfish Flavour Blasted Xtreme Cheddar Crackers due to suspected risk of Salmonella contamination and consequential risk of gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Crackers are subject to this recall

  • Pepperidge Farm branded Goldfish Flavour Blasted Xtreme Cheddar Crackers, sold in 180 gram packages with batch/lot product codes including 20/JAN/19, 24/JAN/19, 31/JAN/19, 2/FEB/19, 11/FEB/19 and 18/FEB/19 with a UPC of 0 14100 08406 8
  • Pepperidge Farm branded Goldfish Flavour Blasted Xtreme Cheddar Crackers, sold in 69 gram packages with batch/lot product codes including 25/JAN/19 and 26/JAN/19 with a UPC of 0 14100 23245 2

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Campbell Company of Canada has recalled the above batch/lots of Pepperidge Farm branded Goldfish Flavour Blasted Xtreme Cheddar Crackers from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination.
