Additional information:

Among the 28 recalls the NHTSA has announced this July comes news of the following:

Gillig LLC (“Gillig”) has recalled an estimated 22,799 model year 2001-2018 Gillig Low Floor Transit Buses. The turn signals may flash slowly, reducing their visibility to other drivers. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

According to the NHTSA, the reduced visibility of the turn signals can increase the risk of a crash.

Gillig will notify registered owners, and dealers will update the software that controls the turn flash rate, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in July 2018. Owners may contact Gillig Customer Service at 1-510-264-5073 or 1-800-735-1500.
