US FlagUS/Washington: ACE Work Boot Recall [US]The Burton Corporation, a Burlington, Vermont establishment. recalls an estimated 4,800 Snowboard Boots due to suspected sudden and unintentional binding release and consequential risk of falls and laceration damage, all serious health hazards.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Step On Snowboard Boots from the winter 2017-2019 seasons.

  • The recalled Boots were sold in a variety of colors. The model name is printed on the inside of the Boot’s tongue. A complete list of the recalled Snowboard Boots, styles, sizes and available colors can be found on the originating CPSC Web page identified above.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Snowboard Boots can be found on the Web site listed above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Snowboard Boots can release from their bindings unexpectedly, posing fall and injury hazards to the wearer. Burton has received seven (7) reports of the Boots releasing from the binding unexpectedly. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Snowboard Boots, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Burton to receive a free new heel cleat. Burton is also contacting all known (i.e., registered) purchasers directly..
