The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Raw Chicken products are subject to this recall:

  • The Raw Poultry products were produced and packaged from May 14 through June 22, 2018. The following products are subject to recall:
    • Afandina Halal Wholesale Chicken, Boneless Leg Meat, sold in 40-pound bulk boxes
    • Afandina Halal Chicken, Whole Chicken Legs, sold in 40-pound bulk boxes
    • Afandina Halal Chicken, Chicken Cutlets, sold in 40-pound bulk boxes

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Raw Chicken products can be found on the Web site above.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-51183” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in New York City.

The problem was discovered when US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) personnel were performing inspection activities.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Raw Chicken products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
