Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Shin Mi Australia Seafood Dumpling Gyoza Recall [Australia]Shin Mi Australia Pty Ltd, a Silverwater, New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Seafood Dumpling (“Gyoza”) due to suspected undeclared Shellfish, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Seafood Dumpling products are subject to this recall:

  • Shin Mi Australia branded Seafood Dumpling Gyoza, sold in 680 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot code of 6CFD12(10349); affected dates: all date codes up to and including 15.01.2020

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to undeclared Shellfish.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Seafood Dumpling products and could be allergic to their Shellfish ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
