The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Oatmeal Raisin Cookie products are subject to this recall:

  • Whole Foods Market branded Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, sold in 18-count plastic containers with a PLU that begin with 23209 and sell-by dates ranging from June 4 to July 8, 2018.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Whole Foods Market has recalled the above-identified Whole Foods Market brand Oatmeal Raisin Cookies from stores in eight states because the products contained Soy Flour that was not listed on the product label. The affected Cookies were sold in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Oatmeal Raisin Cookie products and could be allergic to their Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
