Canada/Ottawa: Goodleaf branded Daikon Radish Recall [Canada]Goodleaf Community Farms Ltd., a Bible Hill, Nova Scotia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Micro Daikon Radishes due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of gram-positive bacterial infection and illness, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Radish products are subject to this recall:

  • Goodleaf branded Daikon Radish Microgreens, sold in 75 gram clear plastic clamshell containers with a best-before date code of BB/MA JN 30, a batch/lot designation of MR088 and a UPC of 6 28451 71410 1

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the CFIA, Goodleaf Community Farms Ltd. has recalled the above batch/lot of Goodleaf branded Daikon Radish Microgreens from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Radish products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Daikon Radish products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
