The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Peppermint Snack Bar products are subject to this recall:

  • Oregon Peppermint Bars, sold with a batch/lot designation of 112918

According to the FDA, Nectar Foods doing business as Honey Mama’s, an Portland, Oregon establishment, recalls an estimated 79 sleeves (for a total of 948 units) of Oregon Peppermint Bars due to undeclared Almond Nuts

The recalled Oregon Peppermint Bars were distributed in Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin through retail stores and online sales through the company’s Web site at http://HoneyMamas.com between June 1, 2018 and June 21, 2018.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Peppermint Snack Bars and could be allergic to their Almond Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
