JK brand Apricot Roll Recall [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Canadian Food Inspection AgencyM & H Distribution Ltd., a Port Coquitlam, British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of JH branded Apricot Rolls due to undeclared Sulphites (Sulfites), a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Foods are subject to this recall:

  • JK brand Apricot Rolls, sold in eight (8) kilogram packages with a manufactured by code of 1.1.2018 with an expiry date code of 1.1.2020

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, M & H Distribution has recalled the above batch/lots of JH branded Apricot Rolls due to undeclared Sulphites (Sulfites).

==> For information about Sulphite (Sulfite) Allergy, please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Apricot Roll products and could be allergic to their Sulphite ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
