EU issues 24 Product Toy & Vehicle Recalls

European Union FlagBelgium/Brussels: The European Union issues Report 24-2018 of its Rapid Alert System containing 24 new consumer, automotive and industrial-based product recalls; a must-read for parents, caregivers, drivers, health and safety workers, company owners, supervisors and others:

Among the 24 recalls the European Union has announced in its third report of June 2018, the following recall notification was made:

Sanli branded Petrol Gas Chainsaw Recall [EU]Sanli branded Petrol Gas Chainsaw sold with a model designation of SCS 4950.

The type of hazard presented in this recalled product include the report that the Chainsaw’s Chain Catcher is inadequate. In the event that the Chain breaks in use, the Chain Catcher could fail to protect the operator and result in serious, life-changing injuries or death.

The recalled Chainsaws, therefore, do not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 11681 in that they pose a serious health and safety hazard.

==> Please do not use any of these recalled Petrol Gas Chainsaw products. Instead, please return the products to the store or online outlet from which you purchased them for a full refund.
