The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Breakfast Cereal products are subject to this recall:

  • Honey Smacks, sold in 15.3 ounce boxes with best-before dates that run from June 14, 2018 to June 14, 2019 and a UPC of 3800014810
  • Honey Smacks – Family Size (with limited distribution outside the US), sold in 23-ounce boxes with best-before dates that run from June 14, 2018 to June 14, 2019 with a UPC of 3800039103

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Kellogg Company has recalled its 15.3-ounce and its 23-ounce packages of Kellogg’s branded Honey Smacks Cereal (with batch/lot and date code dates listed above) due to suspected Salmonella contamination. No other Kellogg products are impacted by this recall at this point in time.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Kellogg’s Honey Smacks Cereal, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cereal to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
