UK FlagUK/Belfast: Lidl Duc de Coeur Macaron Recall [UK]Lidl Ireland, a Tallaght, Dublin establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Duc de Coeur Macarons due to suspected failure to properly declare Almond Nuts, Barley, Eggs, Milk, Pistachio Nuts and Wheat, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. In addition, the recalled product may also contain Lupin, other unspecified Nuts, Peanuts and Sesame, further known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible additional triggers of Anaphylaxis.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Baked Goods are subject to recall:

  • Duc de Coeur Macarons, sold in packages of 120 grams

According to the FSA, Lidl Ireland has recalled certain Duc de Coeur Macarons because they contain Almond Nuts, Barley, Eggs, Milk, Pistachio and Wheat, and may contain Lupin, other Nuts, Peanuts and Sesame, none of which is identified or listed in English in the ingredients list, as per applicable legislation. The product was sold in Lidl stores in Northern Ireland.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Macarons and could be allergic to their Almond Nut, Barley, Eggs, Milk, Pistachio Nut and/or Wheat ingredients as well as possibly to Lupin, other Nuts, Peanuts and Sesame, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
