EU issues 50 Product, Toy & Vehicle Recalls

Among the 50 recalls the European Union has announced in its first report of June 2018, the following recall notification was made:

Candy Land branded Aromatic Bath Products Recall [EU]Candy Land branded Aromatic Bath Products, sold with an EAN of 5037028249109

The type of hazards presented in this recalled product include the possibility that this Bath Product may be mistaken for a foodstuff due to its characteristic form, color and size. Specifically, if this defect occurs, small parts can be easily detached or bitten off from the product and this may lead children to put them in the mouth, choke and/or ingest harmful substances.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic and/or rubber fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

These Bath Products, therefore, do not comply with the requirements of European’s Cosmetic Products Regulation and the requirements of the Food-imitating Products Directive.
