The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves the US models of Infant/Baby Strollers.

The recalled Strollers have a black frame, a reclining seat or hammock that is reversible and a hood. An insert is sold with the Strollers for smaller babies. There is a basket for storage underneath the Strollers seat.

The Strollers were sold in dark gray and black (style code: S85), light grey and black (style code: S49), blue and black (S46) and green and black (S47). The brands, “Muum by Jané” is printed on the front bottom frame. The brand, “Muum” is printed on the side frame and on the handle while the phrases “Jané” and “Muum”, “Jané USA LLC,”, “Muum US 5399US/S85” or “S47”, “S49”, and “S46” can be found printed on a label on the leg of the Stroller.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Strollers violate the US Federal Stroller and Carriage standard. Specifically, an infant can pass through the opening between the Stroller armrest and the seat bottom and his/her head and neck can become entrapped by the armrest, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Infant/Baby Strollers, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Jané for a free repair. The repair consists of a free replacement armrest. You can continue using the recalled Strollers if you remove the armrest and harness the child securely until you receive the replacement armrest.
