According to the FDA, there has been one (1) reported case of an allergic reaction to these Cookies, presumably due to the undeclared Walnuts. The consumer who suffered the allergic reaction reported the incident to the FDA. It was subsequently discovered that Walnuts were not supposed to be in that product as they are not listed on the label as an ingredient or allergen. A breakdown in the companies mixing procedures or incorrect labeling is suspected at this time.

==> For information about Nut Allergy (including Peanuts and Tree Nuts such as Walnuts), please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab at the top of this page.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Cookies and could be allergic to their Walnut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
