The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Calzone products are subject to this recall:

  • Uno Pizzeria & Grill Ham & Cheese Handcrafted Calzone, sold in cases of 8-count packages containing 6-ounce individually cello-wrapped Calzones with a best-if-used-by date of May 1, 2019 and a batch/lot package code of 8121.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Calzone products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 17426” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were distributed through distribution facilities to retail stores in Chicago, Illinois and the state of Texas.

The problem was discovered on May 22, 2018, after the firm received a customer’s complaint about the product and subsequently notified FSIS of the problem.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Calzone products and could be allergic to their Chicken ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
