The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Trail Mix products are subject to this recall:

  • Snak Club branded Tropical Trail Mix products, sold in 16-ounce plastic bags with date and batch/lot code designation of “BEST BY DEC 27 2018 TP3B T” and a UPC of 0-87076-64462-8

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after it was discovered that certain batch/lots of Snak Club branded Tropical Trail Mix products actually contain Snak Club branded Yogurt Trail Mix inside the bags. If this defect occurs, it means that people consuming the affected batch/lots may be consuming undeclared Cashew Nuts, Milk, Soy and Wheat, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Trail Mix products and could be allergic to their Cashew Nut, Milk, Soy and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
