US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Sugarfina branded Sugar Cookie Recall [US]Sugarfina, Inc., an Inglewood, California establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Sugarfina branded Sugar Cookies due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Sugar Cookies are subject to this recall:

  • Sugarfina branded Sugar Cookies, consisting of miniature, white-chocolate coated cookies sold in clear lucite cubes that hold approximately 3.5 ounces of cookies with a Sugarfina SKU of K1175 and a UPC of 840278113725
  • Sugarfina branded Sugar Cookies (pictured above), consisting of miniature, white-chocolate coated cookies sold in light blue plastic bags with a clear product window that contain approximately 2.5 pounds of cookies with a Sugarfina SKU of K1016 and a UPC of 840278122123
  • Sugarfina branded Sugar Cookies, consisting of miniature, white-chocolate coated cookies sold in clear plastic bags with white printing that contain approximately 0.8 ounces of cookies with a Sugarfina SKU of K0521 and a UPC of 840278109414

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recalled Sugar Cookies were sold in Sugarfina, Inc. retail stores throughout the US, and select Nordstrom department stores in Oregon, Arizona, California, Texas, Illinois, Washington and through other boutique retail stores in other locations.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Sugar Cookies and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
