The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Dried Beef products are subject to this recall:

  • Armour branded Ground & Formed Sliced Dried Beef, sold in 2.25 ounce glass jars with best-by date codes of JAN-07-21, JAN-08-21, JAN-09-21, JAN-10-21, JAN-11-21, APR-15-21, APR-16-21, APR-17-21, APR-18-21 or APR-19-21 and batch/lot codes 0707011Y11, 0708011Y11, 0709011Y11, 0710011Y11, 0711011Y11, 0715041Y11, 0716041Y11, 0717041Y11, 0718041Y11 or 0719041Y11.
  • Armour branded Ground & Formed Sliced Dried Beef, sold in 2.25 ounce glass jars with best-by date codes of 4.5 ounce glass jars with best-by date codes of JAN-23-21, JAN-24-21, JAN-25-21 or APR-22-21 and batch/lot codes 0723011Y11, 0724011Y11, 0725011Y11 or 0722041YW1.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the ready-to-eat dried, sliced beef items were produced on January 2, 2018 and April 9, 2018. The products have an estimated shelf life of three (3) years.

The Dried Beef products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 2AD” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations US nationwide.

The problem was discovered on April 27, 2018 by an USDA Enforcement Investigator and Analysis Officer (“EIAO”) while conducting a food safety assessment at the establishment.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Dried Beef, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
