The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Popsicle Treats are subject to this recall:

  • Budget $aver branded Cherry Pineapple Monster Pops, sold 12 in a clear plastic package with batch/lot codes ranging from D09418A to D10018B and a UPC of 0-74534-84200-9
  • Budget $aver branded Sugar Free Twin Pops, sold 12 in a clear plastic package with batch/lot codes ranging from D09318A through D10018B and a UPC of 0-74534-75642-9

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after routine state inspection of the company’s Denver production facility found Listeria monocytogenes in environmental samples collected by the inspector.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Frozen Popsicles, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Popsicles to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
