Canada/Ottawa: Fresh 2 Go brand Roast Beef Panini Recall [Canada]Metro Inc., a Montreal, Quebec establishment expands its existing recall for certain batch/lots of Fresh 2 Go brand Roast Beef Panini products to include additional batch/lots up to and including April 18, 2018. The original recall was initiated due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of bacterial infection and illness, all serious health hazards. Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Roast Beef products are subject to this recall:

  • Fresh 2 Go (“F2GO”) brand Roast Beef Panini products, sold in packages of two (2) Paninis; affected batch/lots: all units sold up to and including April 18, 2018 with a UPC that starts with 0219274. The previous recall notification listed all dates up to and including April 10, 2018.
  • Fresh 2 Go (F2GO”) brand Roast Beef Panini products, sold in packages of four (4) Paninis; affected batch/lots: all units sold up to and including April 10, 2018 with a UPC that starts with 0219149. The previous recall notification listed all dates up to and including April 10, 2018.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Metro Ontario has recalled additional batch/lots of Fresh 2 Go brand Roast Beef Paninis from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. You should not consume nor serve the recalled Panini products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Roast Beef Paninis, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
