Among the 42 recalls the European Union has announced in its second report of April 2018 the following notification was made:

10045 - European Union Recalls - Report 15/2018 RAPEX: Graphic designation: - Robetoy branded Growing Pet Hatch'Em Expandable ToyRobetoy branded Growing Pet Hatch’Em Expandable Toy, sold with an unknown model number and a barcode/UPC/EAN of 7300009491049.

The type of hazards presented in this Children’s Toy include component detachment and consequential risks of choking and/or ingestion. Specifically, small parts can be easily torn from the Toy Dinosaur and placed into the mouth and swallowed by children. This could cause the child to choke or ingest parts of the Toy. As the Toy’s components expand, they can also cause fatal occlusion of the respiratory tract or intestinal blockage of children.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic and/or rubber fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

These Children’s Toy products, therefore, do not comply with with the requirements of Europe’s Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1 as they can cause serious injury and/or death to those who use them.

==> Please do not use any of these recalled Toy products nor allow your children to play with or near them. Instead, please return the Toys to the store or online outlet from which you purchased them for a full refund.

==> To see other recalls and notifications caused by faulty and/or dangerous Toys, please search for “toy” using the Search Box at the top of this page.

These Children’s Toys do not comply with the requirements of the applicable European standard and have been ordered recalled from end users and withdrawn from the European marketplace.
