Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following processed Chicken products are subject to this recall:

  • Chicken Breast Tenders, consisting of frozen formed chicken breast tender poultry products ready to cook, sold in 400 gram boxes with best-before date codes of 28/02/2019 and 01/03/2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated after it was suspected that the above-identified batch/lots of Chicken contain pieces of hard plastic.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled processed any of Chicken Breast Tenders, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
