Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Mosquito Magnet Traps and Quick Clear Cartridge Kits.

The recalled Traps are designed to attract and capture mosquitos and other insects into the vacuum, where they dehydrate and die. The Traps connect to a 20 gallon propane tank and measure about 30 to 35 inches tall. They were sold in green or green/gray combination with a black and green plastic stand.

The brand, “Mosquito Magnet” is printed on the top front of the units. The model name, model number and serial number are printed on the back of the Traps. All of the recalled Traps use Woodstream’s Quick Clear Cartridge kits to clean out the nozzle after changing propane tanks.

The following models are included in the recall:

  • Independence model Mosquito Magnet Traps, sold with model number of MM3200 and a serial numbers ranging from IN01450 to IN01625
  • Executive model Mosquito Magnet Traps, sold with model number of MM3300 and a serial numbers ranging from EX01444 to EX01630
  • Commander model Mosquito Magnet Traps, sold with model number of MM3400 and a serial numbers ranging from CM01503 to CM01621
  • Patriot model Mosquito Magnet Traps, sold with model number of MM4100 and a serial numbers ranging from PT01438 to PT01542
  • Patriot/Patriot Plus model Mosquito Magnet Traps, sold with model number of MM4200 and a serial numbers ranging from PT0142 to PT01642

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Mosquito Traps can become damaged if cleaning it while powered on with the company’s Quick Clear Cartridge kits and can propel broken pieces of the regulator, posing an injury hazard to consumers. There has been one (1) report of damage to the mosquito trap line regulator while using the Quick Clear Cartridge kits. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Mosquito Magnet Traps, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
