The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Pet Foods are subject to this recall:

  • Blue Ridge Beef branded Complete Raw Pet Food, sold in two (2) pound frozen chubs with a batch lot/number of GA0131 and a manufacturing date of 01/31/2018. The recalled Pet Food is known to have been distributed in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, although this list may not be definitive.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Pet Food products can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after samples collected and tested by the FDA showed positive for both Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pet Foods, please do not feed them to your pet(s). Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Wash down all prep surfaces, serving implements and serving bowls with a bleach/water mixture; rinse well with lots of hot soapy water.
