EU issues 45 Product, Toy & Vehicle Recalls

Among the 45 the European Union has announced in its fourth report of March 2018 the following notification was made:

9953 - European Union Recalls -Daillot branded Ergo model Baby Cots/CribsDaillot branded Ergo model Baby Cots/Cribs, sold with model designations of LS-P2, LH-P2, LD-P2, LS-P1, LH-P1, LD-P1, LS-RR-2, LH-RR-2, LD-RR-2, LS-RR-1, LH-RR-1, LD-RR-1, LS-H2, LH-H2, LD-H2, LS-H1, LH-H1, LD-H1 but with no listed barcode/UPC/EANs.

The type of hazards presented in these Baby Cots/Cribs include numerous reported design problems that allow the Cots to have gaps, spaces and sharp edges at different parts of the product with the consequential risk of entrapment and/or strangulation if the head or neck is introduced or involved.

In addition, the locking system on these recalled Baby Cots/Cribs can reportedly break, creating gaps and/or protruding corners into which fingers or even complete limbs could be introduced allowing them to become stuck or crushed. Garments can also become caught up in the sharp edges, allowing for other serious injuries and/or life-changing events.

These Baby Cots/Cribs, therefore, do not comply with the requirements of the relevant European Standard European Standard EN 716, as they can cause serious injury to those who use them.

==> Please do not use any of these recalled Baby Cots/Cribs or allow your child to play in or near them. Instead, return them to the store or online outlet from which you purchased them for a full refund.
