Among the 16 recalls the NHTSA has announced this March comes news of the following:

Navistar, Inc. (“Navistar”) has recalled an estimated 1,047 model year 2016-2019 IC bus CE School Buses equipped with 8.8L liquid propane gas (LPG) engines. The LPDM relay for the propane booster pump and the scavenge pump may intermittently fail, causing the fuel pump to stop.

According to the NHTSA, if the fuel pump stops, the bus will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do next? Navistar will notify registered owners, and dealers will replace the LPDM relay, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 20, 2018. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar’s number for this recall is 18501.
