Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Marshmallow Candy products are subject to this recall:

  • IKEA Godis Paskkyckling Marshmallow Candy, sold in 100 gram plastic predominately pink-coloured bags with best-before dates of 23/10/2018 or 26/01/2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to potential contamination of this Candy product at the production location.

==> Please note: the Canadian recall for this product lists suspected mice infestation contamination as the source of this recall with resultant risk of bacterial infection.

In general, if plastic, metal or other fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.
