The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Pork Soup products are subject to this recall:

  • Pork Soup with Rendered Pork Fat (from Bone), sold in 2.2 pound 10 polybag pillows packed in paper cartons with a batch/lot of code 010218-1, a product code of 61306 and a best-before date of Dec. 22, 2019.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear the establishment number “Est. 32161” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were sent to distribution centers and were further distributed in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Texas and Washington state.

The problem was discovered on Jan. 30, 2018 by an USDA Enforcement Investigator and Analysis Officer (“EIAO”) while conducting a Food Safety Assessment (“FSA”) at the establishment.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Pork Soup products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
