The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following third-party branded Frozen Green Beans and Frozen Mixed Vegetables are subject to this recall:

Please note: The asterisk (“*”)  indicates the 32-ounce inner clear poly bag has only lot code printed.

According to the FDA, the recalled Cream Bars have a production date of January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017 and a best-by date of January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The Hood and Kemps products (please see above) may show a best-by date of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019:

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after third-party testing of the IQF Green Beans by a customer that revealed that the finished foods may be contaminated with the bacteria. There has been no report of human illness to date.

The products were distributed to foodservice accounts in bulk and packaged containers in AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, KS, MI, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OR, TN, TX, VA and WA and distributed between August 18, 2017 and January 12, 2018.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Frozen Green Beans and Frozen Vegetables, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Veg to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
