The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Beef Meatballs are subject to this recall:

  • Member’s Mark Casa Di Bertacchi Italian Style Beef Meatballs, sold in 36-pound cases containing six 6-pound bags with a best-if-used-by date designation of 17 DEC 2018 label and a batch/lot code of 15507351

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 5336” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distributors in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

The problem was discovered on January 24, 2018 when the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) received notification from the firm that it had shipped adulterated product into commerce.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Beef Meatballs, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
