Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Panasonic 55-inch flat screen LED/LCD Television Sets with a tabletop swivel stand intended for use in hotels, government buildings and schools.

The recalled Televisions are black in color with the brand, “Panasonic” printed on the front bezel under the screen. The Television’s model number is TH055LRU50, printed on a tag located in the center of the back of the TV set. The swivel stand is a glossy black color and measures approximately 50.5 inches long by 32 inches tall by 11.1 inches deep.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled TV Sets are pictured on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the mounting screws that connect the Swivel Stand to the Television can come loose and cause the Television to tip over and fall off the Stand unexpectedly, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in injuries or death to children.

The recalled Television and Swivel Stands were sold to hotels, government buildings and schools from July 2012 through March 2014 for about $1,825 for the Television and the Swivel Stand combination.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Television Sets, please do not use them. Instead, kindly remove the Swivel Stand from Television unit, place the Television in a safe location away from children and contact Panasonic for a free repair kit.

Please note: this is a joint recall from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) and Health Canada (“HCSC”).
