The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Dog Food Meals are subject to this recall:

  • Beef & Russet Potato flavor Dog Food Meals, sold in 7-ounce, 14-ounce, 18-ounce and 72-ounce portions with production dates ranging from November 1, 2017 to January 14, 2018 and best-by batch/lot code dates ranging from 11/01/18 through 01/14/19
  • Fish & Sweet Potato flavor Dog Food Meals, sold in 7-ounce, 14-ounce, 18-ounce and 72-ounce portions with production dates ranging from November 1, 2017 to January 14, 2018 and best-by batch/lot code dates ranging from 11/01/18 through 01/14/19
  • Turducken flavor Dog Food Meals, flavor Dog Food Meals, sold in 7-ounce, 14-ounce, 18-ounce and 72-ounce portions with production dates ranging from November 1, 2017 to January 14, 2018 and best-by batch/lot code dates ranging from 11/01/18 through 01/14/19

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recalled JFFD Beef & Russet Potato, Fish & Sweet Potato and Turducken was distributed only through 11 JFFD retail locations in Southern California, three (3) Pet Food Express (“PFE”) locations in Southern California and ten (10) Northern California PFE locations.

Please note: The Green Beans used in all three flavors of these Meals may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. JustFoodForDogs is currently making these recipes available without the implicated Green Beans until the matter is fully investigated and the risk eliminated.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm pet food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pet Foods, please do not feed them to your pet(s). Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Wash down all prep surfaces, serving implements and serving bowls with a bleach/water mixture; rinse well with lots of hot soapy water.
