Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the recalled Parent’s Choice Wooden Play Blocks are sold as a set of 26 cube blocks with various coloured numbers, pictures and letters printed on the faces of the blocks.

  • The recalled Block Toys are rated for ages 12 months and over; and they can be identified by a UPC of 62891558225 that can be found on the exterior packaging. The Blocks come with a storage bag made of white plastic with a purple and yellow Parent’s Choice logo.

According to Health Canada, testing performed by Walmart Canada Corp. determined that the surface coating material on the print of the storage bag does not meet the Canadian toy safety requirements, because it exceeds allowable limit for Barium.

As of January 9, 2018, Walmart Canada Corp. has received no reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these toys in Canada.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Parent’s Choice Wooden Play Blocks, please do not use them nor allow your child to play with them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm chemical contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any Toy or other product, return it to your retailer for refund, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect Toy.
