Fieldbrook Foods Frozen Cream Bar Recall Expands [US]


US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Fieldbrook Foods Frozen Confection Cream Bar Expands [US]Fieldbrook Foods Corporation expands its existing recall for all Orange Cream Bars and Chocolate Coated Vanilla Ice Cream Bars that were produced in 2017 on the company’s Hoyer 1 Line at its Dunkirk, NY plant (plant code 362677) to include an additional 28,751 cases of Raspberry Cream Bars that were included with Orange Cream Bars in ALDI seasonal split-case purchases, all due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Please note, the original recall was for certain cases of Tops branded Orange Cream Bars and certain cases of Meijer Purple Cow branded Orange Cream Bars, both for suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination. FDA: http://ht.ly/dSiQ30hL3VR

According to the FDA, the recalled Cream Bars have a production date of January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017 and a best-by date of January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The Hood and Kemps products (please see above) may show a best-by date of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019:

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the potential for contamination was noted after routine testing revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in a related product.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Frozen Confections identified above, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cream Bars to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
