US/Silver Spring: Condies Foods, a Kearns, Utah establishment recalls an estimated 166 cases of Condies Foods brand Fruit Cups due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg and Milk, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Fruit Cups are subject to this recall:

• Condies Foods brand Fruit Cups, sold with a use-by date of 01/05/2018 and a UPC of 50777222655

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Condies Foods, a Kearns, Utah establishment recalls an estimated 166 cases of Condies Foods brand Fruit Cups due to suspected mislabeling. Although the product in question is labeled as a Fruit Cup, it may contain ingredients for a Vegetable Medley consisting of Broccoli, Celery and Carrots along with a Ranch Dip sauce. It is the Ranch Dip that is the source of Egg and Milk allergens.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Fruit Cups and could be allergic to their Egg and/or Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
