EU issues 60 Product, Toy & Vehicle Recalls

Among the 60 recalls the European Union has announced in its third report of December 2017, the following notification was made:

Envie Crema Mani Dermoprotettiv Hand Cream Report 51/2017Envie Crema Mani Dermoprotettiv Hand Cream, sold with an unknown product designation and a barcode/UPC of 8032618832089; 8 10 12. The type of hazards presented in these recalled Hand Cream products include the chemicals Methylchloroisothiazolinone (“MCI”) and Methylisothiazolinone (“MI”) (measured value 0.00021% by weight).

Specifically, dermal (i.e., skin) contact with MCI- and MI-containing products can provoke Allergic Contact Dermatitis to sensitised persons. This could lead to damage and/or breakage of the skin barrier and infection.

As such, these Hand Cream products do not comply with European Cosmetic Products Regulation and have consequently been ordered withdrawn from the marketplace.

==> Do not use these Hand Cream products or store them in a place where they could be used. Instead, return the Hand Cream to the store or online outlet from which you purchased it for a full refund.
