The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves all Jumbo Fireworks branded “Surprise Fountain” Fireworks.

  • The recalled Fireworks were sold individually and have product code JFG4279 printed on the front panel above the cautionary text. The Fireworks are small, red cylinder tube-shaped devices that measure approximately three (3) inches tall by about 1 inch wide. The phrases, “Jumbo Fireworks”. “Surprise Fountain”, “Warning” and an image of fountains with happy faces are printed on the front.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Fireworks are overloaded with pyrotechnics intended to produce an audible effect, violating the US federal regulatory standard for this product. Overloaded Fireworks can result in a greater than expected explosion, posing burn and explosion hazards to operators and those nearby. The product is labeled as a “fountain” but in fact, functions similar to an M-80 or other large firecrackers, which are both illegal under US law.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Fireworks, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
