Canada/Ottawa: Canada FlagT-Brothers Food and Trading Ltd. recalls certain batch/lots of Ottogi brand Rice Cake Soup and Beef Bone and Vegetable Soup due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Foods are subject to this recall:

  • Ottogi brand Rice Cake Soup, sold in 181.6 gram containers; affected batch/lots: all codes where Milk is not declared on the product label; UPC 6 45175 89093 5
  • Ottogi brand Beef Bone and Vegetable Soup, sold in 22 gram containers; affected batch/lots: all codes where Milk is not declared on the product label; UPC 6 45175 62040 2

According to the CFIA, T-Brothers Food and Trading Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of Ottogi brand Rice Cake Soup and Beef Bone and Vegetable Soup due to undeclared Milk.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Soup products and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
