Additional information:

Among the five (5) recalls the NHTSA has announced this December comes news of the following:

Forest River, Inc. (“Forest River”) has recalled an estimated 762 model year 2017-2018 XLR Toyhauler, Vengeance and Wolf Pack recreational trailers equipped with an optional generator. The generator’s exhaust pipe is mounted too close to the trailer’s plastic underbelly.

According to the NHTSA, the generator’s exhaust may melt the trailer’s underbelly, increasing the risk of a fire.

What to do next? Forest River will notify registered owners, and dealers will inspect the routing of the exhaust pipe, lowering it away from the plastic underbelly, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin by January 8, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-260-499-2100. Forest River’s number for this recall is 73-0535.
