The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Biscuits are subject to this recall:

  • Alvita brand Biscuits with Cardamom Taste Decorated with Sesame, sold in 580 gram packages with a batch/lot code of VSEA960220, a best-before date code of 18OC26 and a UPC of 6 260329 30101 9

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Delta Country Farms (BC) has recalled certain batch/lots of Alvita brand Biscuits due to undeclared Eggs.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Biscuits and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
