Additional information:

Among the 38 recalls the NHTSA has announced this November comes news of the following:

Aperia Technologies (“Aperia”) has recalled an estimated 14,661 model year Halo Tire Inflators, model number 20-00002032. The brackets used with the adapter plates may crack and fail allowing the adapter plate to separate from the wheel, resulting in rapid deflation of the tire.

According to the NHTSA, rapid air loss in a tire can affect vehicle handling, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do next? Aperia will notify registered owners, and dealers will replace the affected parts, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in November 2017. Owners may contact Aperia customer service at 1-415-494-9624.
