The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Bagged Processed Salads are subject to this recall:

  • Pacific Coast Fruit Recalls Retail Salads:
    • New Seasons Market brand Carnival Cauli Florets, sold in 6/16 ounce packages, an item number of 73633, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/11/17 to 10/26/17 and a UPC of 10200 24467
    • Pacific Coast Fruit brand Small Veg Tray with Dressing, sold in 10 ounce packages, an item number of 71675, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/12/17 to 10/27/17 and a UPC of 20728 01713
    • Pacific Coast Fruit brand Vegetable Tray, sold in 2/25 ounce packages, an item number of 71444, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/11/17 to 10/26/17 and a UPC of 20728 71444
    • Pacific Coast Fruit brand Veggie Mix Bag, sold in 4/20 ounce packages, an item number of 72013, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/10/17 to 10/25/17 and a UPC of 20728 01710
  • Pacific Coast Fruit Value-Added Foodservice Salads Kits:
    • Cauliflower Cake FK, sold in 6.6 pound packages, an item number of 73706, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/12/17 to 10/27/17 and a UPC of 20728 73706
    • Cauliflower Tabouleh sold in 2/4.5 pound packages, an item number of 71886, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/14/17 to 10/29/17 and a UPC of 20728 71886
    • Roasting Cauli Cakes sold in 8.10 pound packages, an item number of 72894, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/14/17 to 10/29/17 and a UPC of 20728 72894
    • Winter Citrus Slaw sold in 2/7.15 pound packages, an item number of 71909, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/09/17 to 10/29/17 and a UPC of 20728 71909
    • Stir Fry, sold in 5 pound packages, an item number of 72308, best-if-used-by dates ranging from 10/11/17 to 10/26/17 and a UPC of 20728 72308

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Pacific Coast Fruit Company has recalled multiple types of Bagged Processed Salads based on the potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.

Pacific Coast Fruit used a portion of the vegetables supplied by Mann Packing in its retail and food service processed Bagged Processed Salads. These food products were distributed to selected grocery, restaurant and deli chains in Oregon and Washington.

The recalled Retail Salads are packed in a 10-ounce, 16-ounce, 20-ounce, 25-ounce plastic clamshell containers while the Value-Added Food Service Items are packed five (5)-pound to twenty (20)-pound food service Salad bags.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Bagged Processed Salads, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Salads to the store or distributor where you purchased it for a full refund.
