The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Broccoli Salads are subject to this recall:

  • Deli Broccoli Almond Salads sold between October 1, 2017 and October 21, 2017 with a UPC of 289861-2XXXX
  • Asian Pasta Salads sold between October 1, 2017 and October 21, 2017 with a UPC of 279867-4XXXX
  • Deli Colorado Coleslaws sold between October 1, 2017 and October 21, 2017 with a UPC of 247094-6XXXX
  • Deli California Broccoli Salads sold between October 1, 2017 and October 21, 2017 with a UPC of 237193-5XXXX

According to the FDA, King Soopers has recalled certain Deli Broccoli Salads and Coleslaw products that were sold in King Soopers and City Market stores in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

King Soopers and City Market were notified by its supplier, Journey Cuisine, that the recalled Salad products contain an ingredient from Mann Packing that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Deli Broccoli Salads or Coleslaw products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Deli Broccoli Salads or Coleslaw products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If you have any questions about this recall, please contact Kroger at 1-800-476-4377 from 8:00 AM to midnight Eastern Standard Time Monday to Friday and from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM EST on Saturday and Sunday.
