US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Triple B Salad Kit & Stir Fry Mix Recall [US]Triple B Corporation, a Seattle, Washington enterprise, expands its existing recall for certain batch/lots of Salad Kits and Stir Fry Mixes to include additional distribution in two US states, specifically Idaho and Montana. The original recall was initiated due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination, consequential bacterial infection and risk of illness, all serious health hazards. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Salad Kits and Stir Fry Mixes remain subject to this recall:

  • Asparagus Salad Kits, sold in 1 by 5-pound per cases with a cut-on date of 10/8/2017 and a UPC of 45009 85722 4
  • Broccoli Salad Kit, sold in 1 by 8-pound per cases with use-by dates ranging from 10/14/2017 to 10/26/2017 and a UPC of 45009 85362 2
  • Mix Stir Fry Veg-LG, sold in 6 by 20-ounce per cases with a packed-on date of 10/6/2017 and a UPC of 45009 85517 6
  • Salad Kit, Super Slaw CPF, sold in 1 by 6-pound per cases with use-by dates ranging from 10/15/2017 to 10/21/2017 and a UPC of 45009 87788 8
  • Stir Fry (GL), sold in 4 by 10-ounce per cases with use-by dates ranging from 10/10/2017 to 10/17/2017 and a UPC of 45009 85367 7
  • Stir Fry Mix – bulk, sold in 1 by 5-pound per cases with a cut-on date ranging from 10/4/2017 to 10/11/2017 and a UPC of 45009 85374 5
  • Thai Veggie Kits, sold in 1 by 5-pound per cases with use-by dates ranging from 10/4/17 to 10/16/2017 and a UPC of 45009 85454 4

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the Broccoli used in these items has been recalled by the company’s vendor, Mann Packing of Salinas, California.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Salad Kits and Mixes, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Salads to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
