The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Hot Pickle products are subject to recall:

  • Mr Naga brand Hot Pepper Pickle Sauce, sold in 190 gram clear jars with a best-before date code of December 2018

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, Shahnaz Food Products has recalled the above-identified batch/lots of its Mr Naga Hot Pepper Pickle because they contain Mustard, an ingredient not declared on the product label. This means these Pickle products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to Mustard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Hot Pepper Pickle products and could be allergic to their Mustard ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
