The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Granola Mixes are subject to recall:

  • Bite Fuel Protein Granola Trail Mix – Red Berry, sold in 311 gram plastic pouches with best-before dates ranging from 20 May 2018 and 24 May 2018
  • Bite Fuel Protein Granola Trail Mix – Banana Apple, sold in 311 gram plastic pouches with best-before dates ranging from 20 May 2018 and 24 May 2018
  • Bite Fuel Protein Granola Trail Mix – Blue Mango, sold in 311 gram plastic pouches with best-before dates ranging from 20 May 2018 and 24 May 2018
  • Bite Fuel Protein Granola Trail Mix – Pina Colada, sold in 311 gram plastic pouches with best-before dates ranging from 20 May 2018 and 24 May 2018

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, TK Maxx & Homesense have recalled various Bite Fuel Protein Granola Trail Mixes because they contain Milk and Oats, ingredients that are incorrectly labelled on their respective product packaging. This means these food products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Milk or Milk constituents and/or Oats or Gluten

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Granola Trail Mixes and could be allergic to their Milk and/or Oat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
